What is Queerfest?

Queerfest is an annual international festival, which raises issues of human rights, identities, gender, and sexuality. The festival is a place for many different events: photo exhibitions, discussions, films, workshops, tours, and concerts.

Queerfest itself and its events were supported by actors Ian McKellen and Stephen Fry, journalists Vladimir Pozner and Artemiy Troitzkiy, writer Linor Goralik, musicians Lena Katina (t. A.T.u. band), Marina Cherkunova (Total band), Jay-Jay Johansson, Alexandre Bard and «Army of lovers», Boris Dittrich (Human Rights Watch).

Queerfest-2019

This year’s 11-th Queerfest will take place from 19 to 28 of September under the motto «There are other ways». We want to talk about how to see more than society and education limited us to, find ways to live your life differently. We propose to abandon stereotypes. And stereotypes about stereotypes.

Program features

This year Placebo bass player Stefan Olsdal and project Digital 21 will perform on our Fest, there will be a photo exhibits by Damien Frost (damienfrost.com) and gender photographer Thomas Gunnarsson. All in all, the Festival will host more than 20 events.
