On the first day of the fest the artist and photographer from the UK, Damien Frost, will open his photo exhibit “Night Flowers”. It's dedicated to the heroes and heroines of alternative night life of London's queer community.

The “Night flowers” were the drag kings and queens whom Damien Frost encountered near London night clubs and sometimes inside them. They are walking works of art, the streets are their stage and every moment of their life is a performance. Dwelling on the periphery of London's night life, they baffle passers-by, provoke reactions – from anxious glances to fascination.

The surprising clarity of the photographs belies the fact that they were taken on the streets or in noisy clubs. Most of the pictures, although traditional in style, were spontaneous. They have become an extraordinary chronicle of London's alternative night life.

“The pictures are seriously raw, stunning, even kamikaze”, — said Boy George, British legendary singer and composer.
